Our community is facing problems of already low-income households that are headed by parents, grandparents or guardians who are overworked, over-stressed, underpaid or completely out of work. They are unable to help their children with schoolwork much less aid their children to expand their horizons and to realize their potential to eventually enrich their lives. We have formed a competitive flag football program for children ages 5-14 with 9 teams total, to include both boys and girls. Our first girls team launched in 2023 (10U) and many of our teams have qualified to compete at the national level. As a result, many families are in need of financial assistance to help their athlete pursue their dreams in sports.
